Often packages that might be useful rely on databases other than Rdb. How can they be incorporated with existing applications which are dependent on production Rdb databases?

A company wanted to use mapping software that is dependent on an Oracle database. They certainly did not want to re-enter all their data and try to keep it consistent and did not want to replace their Rdb database and all the applications running on it. They introduced the Loader to keep the Oracle database up-to-date.

The result was so successful that they next introduced an SQL Server database and applications to provide relevant data to their customer service reps in the field.
